Sustainability

committed to sustainability

As Pacific has grown, we’ve entrenched sustainability targets across every part of our business. We take our environmental responsibility seriously and go well beyond any set requirements.

waste

Pacific has been responsibly disposing of waste for a number of years, with a vigorous recycling system in place. When we began manufacturing natural New Zealand extracts we introduced composting, and now compost 100% of our organic waste..

ENERGY

We save power through LED lighting, and energy-efficient appliances and machinery. As our manufacturing increases so does our power usage, so we are installing solar and powerbanks to achieve 60% renewable energy by 2025.

chemicals

We are committed to the highest levels of food safety, but we don’t believe that the chemicals used to clean production equipment should be a trade-off for the environment. That is why we use 100% MSDS-approved chemicals in our production.

natural ingredients

Pacific is focused on providing cleaner, greener and more effective options to our range. We established a manufacturing facility here in Auckland, producing 100% natural New Zealand-made extracts.

packaging

We have already achieved 95% recycled packaging, on track to reach our goal of 100% recycled packaging by 2025.

transport

As our fleet is replaced, we continue to move towards 100% hybrid or electric fleet by 2030.

our staff & community

We grow vegetables for staff every summer, using the compost from our manufacturing, and are planting fruit trees for them to enjoy too.

Pacific supports industry organisations such as NZIFST, Natural Health Products NZ, Allergen Bureau NZ, NZICMA and RMNZ.

We also contribute directly to charities in our community.
